The final three races of the 2021 QUAIFE MINI Challenge UK Trophy (Rounds 15,16 & 17) take place this coming weekend, at the “Home of British Motorsport,” Silverstone, with the 1.640-mile National layout being used, which will see a 30-plus strong grid of cars heading there.

Louie Capozzoli, fresh from his double victory last time out at Thruxton on the August Bank Holiday weekend, is poised to be in the fight for not only the Rookie title but also the overall crown at his home track.

The 2021 season for Louie has been memorable for multiple reasons, where his pace has improved in what is his début season in racing cars, having opted to curtail his karting career in the middle of 2020.

There is an air of excitement in the camp, as the LDR Performance Tuning driver is looking forward to what is going to be a fantastic way to end his season.

We initially signed up to get involved, and we never thought we would be where we are now. It is going to be an uphill battle going for both titles.

“I’m just going out there to do the best I can and anything above taking the rookie title will be a bonus. I can’t thank the team enough for all the hard work that they’ve done all season long, along with my family and friends, who have been there supporting me all the way.”

Once again, the MINI Challenge UK Trophy will be part of the TOCA Support package, as the drivers will race on the same schedule as the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship, meaning you can catch the final two races of the season live on ITV4.
